Final Solution Watchtower Style

The "Final solution" imminent again.

The May 22, 1999 issue of Awake! demonstrates how Brooklyn continues to turn out weasel worded magazines about the wonderful "future" that lies ahead. There is no end to what "problems" will be solved when the "kingdom" becomes a reality. These magazines never cease to amaze me. This one is about child labor, and how it will end "soon". On page 3 there is an imagined letter from a 7-year-old girl, which describes her situation. On the same page, the magazine asks the question if there will come a time when there will be an end to child labor.

Then follows some general information about the problem of child labor, with lots of references to ILO and reports from UNICEF, which try to help children and their families so that their children don't have to work. There is even an interview with a representative from ILO. On page 11 the article states that mistreatment of children is nothing new, and mentions the Aztecs and Phoenicians as examples of such cultures. Then the article states that there was an ancient society, which was different, namely the nation of Israel!

One really wonders how shallow and dishonest it is possible to be in Brooklyn. Very conveniently they seem to have completely forgotten Bible texts like these:

¹⁰ Hence the assembly proceeded to send twelve thousand of the most valiant men there and to command them, saying: "Go, and YOU must strike the inhabitants of Ja'besh-gil'ead with the edge of the sword, even the women and the little ones. ¹¹ And this is the thing that YOU should do: Every male and every woman that has experienced lying with a male YOU should devote to destruction." ¹² However, they found out of the inhabitants of Ja'besh-gil'ead four hundred girls, virgins, that had not had intercourse with a man by lying with a male. So they brought them to the camp at Shi'loh, which is in the land of Ca'naan. (Judges 21:10-12)

And they went waging war against Mid'ian, just as Jehovah had commanded Moses, and they proceeded to kill every male. ⁸ And they killed the kings of Mid'ian along with the others slain, namely, E'vi and Re'kem and Zur and Hur and Re'ba, the five kings of Mid'ian; and they killed Ba'laam the son of Be'or with the sword. ⁹ But the sons of Israel carried off the women of Mid'ian and their little ones captive; (Numbers 31:7-9)

And Moses grew indignant at the appointed men of the combat forces, the chiefs of the thousands and the chiefs of the hundreds who were coming in from the military expedition. ¹⁵ So Moses said to them: "Have YOU preserved alive every female? ¹⁶ Look! They are the ones who, by Ba'laam's word, served to induce the sons of Israel to commit unfaithfulness toward Jehovah over the affair of Pe'or, so that the scourge came upon the assembly of Jehovah. ¹⁷ And now kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has had intercourse with man by lying with a male. ¹⁸ And preserve alive for yourselves all the little ones among the women who have not known the act of lying with a male. (Numbers 31:14-18)

Don't you all feel the love and compassion shown by the Israelites when they butchered thousands of children and abused thousands of others, as described in the "Word of God"? What a contrast this must have been to the horrible heathen "Aztecs and Phoenicians".

Then on page 13 talks about the "Real solution" without ever mentioning what it really is. It says that the future holds better times for both children and adults. It says that the future "Kingdom" is going to remove the conditions that causes child labor, and remove all poverty, etc.. As usual not one single word about how Jehovah's Witnesses believe this is going to happen.

If the Jehovah's Witnesses' favorite dream come through, the simple reason why all the problems with child labor, poverty, unemployment, etc., will end is of course that all the adults and children facing these problems today will be DEAD! 99,9% of those children that this Awake! show their imaginary, mock interest for, have NO future! Why? Because Jehovah is going to butcher them together with their parents, real soon now, because they didn't "heed" the insane "message" from Brooklyn about 1914.

Back in the time before Armageddon would happen in 1975, the boys in Brooklyn really let it rip and with obvious joy and glee wallowed in graphic descriptions of what would happen when their cosmic homicidal maniac, their own personal hit man in heaven, was carrying out his slaughter:

Never before in all human history will so many human creatures have been slaughtered. Blood, as representing human lives poured out, will run deep and over a vast distance. Revelation 14:20 paints the appalling picture, saying: "And the wine press was trodden outside the city [God's organization], and blood came out of the wine press as high up as the bridles of the horses, for a distance of a thousand six hundred furlongs [or, 200 miles]." To a completion Jehovah's judicial decision will be executed. The nations and their grapes of wickedness will be trampled out of existence, to leave the earth a cleansed place for the righteous to occupy and enjoy. Not all flesh will be in that symbolic wine press. Not all flesh will have its lifeblood trampled out of it. There are those who make Jehovah their refuge and their fortress. These will be kept safe and be preserved, while Jehovah by his King Jesus Christ crushes their enemies and His enemies in the wine press or "low plain of the decision."... With breathless awe they will have looked down from their safe heights into the valley of decision and witnessed how Jehovah gains his magnificent victory by Christ over all the combined nations of Satan's visible organization. [The Watchtower, December 1, 1961, p. 725-726]

The unburied dead, "those slain by Jehovah," will be so enormously many that even the carrion birds and scavenging wild beasts could never take care of their consumption. The burial of even what remains after these lower creatures have their fill would be stupendous. Doubtless the Almighty God will use some highly scientific means, whether including antimatter or not, to dispose of the surplus of decaying bodies in a speedy and sanitary way. This remains for the survivors of the "war of the great day" to see and witness. We remember that Noah and his seven fellow survivors of the global Deluge were not burdened with burying the human victims of that world catastrophe after they came out of the ark and renewed Jehovah's worship on earth. -- Genesis 8:18-22. Quite evidently there will be many more bodies strewn over the earth as a result of the war at Har-Magedon than there will be scavenger birds enough to dispose of them all in a reasonable time for human health reasons. So it is reasonable to expect that God will dispose of excess bodies by other means. [Man's Salvation Out of World Distress at Hand! (1975), p. 276]

Men have a saying about "dying with your boots on." At Armageddon Jehovah God will grant their wish and let them "die with their boots on." He will allow them to build up to peak strength and go down fighting. [The Watchtower, July 15, 1955, p. 438]

And what about Jehovah God? Does he prepare for Armageddon? Well, would you prepare to kill a fly? Would you prepare to squash a bug? Would you do calisthenics every morning for weeks to get in condition to swat a fly? Would you train with barbells for months to make your muscles bulge and give you strength to step on a bug? Would that be necessary? [The Watchtower, July 15, 1955, p. 438]

So let this old world die with its military boots on if it wishes, but let us live with our theocratic boots on, preaching the good news of peace and singing the praises of Jehovah God! [The Watchtower, July 15, 1955, p. 438]

One should think that this is something all Jehovah's Witnesses know very well. How can people walk around pushing such magazines on an unsuspecting population? Magazines, which print such sugar coated articles about a bright future knowing full well that Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the vast majority of the people they talk to have NO future. The article talks about children in India, Pakistan, Africa and Indo China, etc. They really believe and teach that their God will kill these children, any time now.

And what is even worse, they call this message "Good News". They even call it "Jehovah's Wonderful Purpose for Mankind". How can someone actually be capable of using such terms to describe the worst holocaust in the history of mankind? How can any sane human being actually be capable to view such a cataclysm as something good? How can the death of over 6 billion people be considered "Good News", by anyone? How is it possible for people to get perverted to such an extent that they go around spreading literature like this, which quite obviously is grossly dishonest, and hold back the most important part of their "Good News"?

I realize of course that writing what they really believe in articles like this would cause disgust, loathing, abhorrence and detestation, and rightly so.

But how can people who really know bring themselves to distribute such literature?

Part of the explanation for such an irrational and disgusting behavior comes from the fact that people often reflect the attitudes of the deity they worship:

And yet whatever their religion, people have imitated, or reflected, in their lives the qualities of the god they worship. A person simply cannot worship a god without, to a great extent, imitating that god. [The Watchtower, March 1, 1974, p. 144]

As pointed out here by the Watchtower there is of course a clear connection between the attitudes of the deity and the attitudes of the people who worship it. Jehovah's Witnesses worship a "God" that will exterminate all non-Witnesses "real soon now". And of course this will "solve" all kinds of problems. Crime, poverty, unemployment and smoking will of course be history when 6 billion people are dead.
